'Detroit Detour' event to include The Jefferson House

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Calling all wine fans, beer hounds, and foodies - you're invited to attend Detroit Detour this Saturday.

The event promises a unique experience at "20 premier bars and restaurants and a couple of questionable joints."

The event runs December 7th from 1-5 p.m.

Detroit Detour will offer continuous bus transportation between locations, a map to all of the food and beverage destinations offered, and an unparalleled opportunity to discover the very best of Motown's burgeoning nightlife.

Attendees will check in at Greektown Casino at the main entrance to the Market District, and will enjoy continuous shuttle service to and from all locations as they sample beer, wine, and appetizer offerings from each participating restaurant.

Advance online tickets are $40, and are available at Neptix.com.  Tickets include one appetizer and one beer or wine sample at each restaurant.

Directions:

Place a skillet on the burner.  Add about ¼ oil.  Wait till oil is hot - almost smoking.  Place bacon and cook for about 1 minute.  Mix the Batter, Crab, and Cabbage until incorporated.  Place in Hot pan and press till it takes up the bottom of the pan. Sauté for half a minute.  Flip and place in oven for about two minutes.  Remove from oven and place on plate.  Drizzle Spicy Mayo and Serve.

 

Ingredients:


For the Batter:

7 Eggs

1oz Sriracha Hot Sauce

3oz Mae Ploy

2oz Rice Vinegar

1oz Sesame Oil

2.5 Cups All Purpose Flour

To Make:

Mix all ingredients in bowl.

 
For the Cabbage:

¼ White Cabbage

¼ Napa Cabbage

¼ Purple Cabbage

To Make:

Mix all cabbage together.


Spicy Mayo:

1 cup Mayo

¼ cup Sriracha Hot Sauce

To Make:

Mix All ingredients

 
Final Product:

1oz Apple wood Smoke Bacon Lardoons

4oz Okonomiyaki Batter

1 cup Shaved Cabbage

2oz Fresh Crab

2oz Spicy Mayo
