MESA, Ariz. -

A suspect was arrested after police waited outside his house for five hours on Friday morning.

Police say a woman told them her roommate had threatened her with a gun at their house near Main Street and Recker Road just after midnight.

She claimed the suspect, Nicholas Blozvich, had recently been released from prison and possibly had warrants.

According to police, they found out Blozvich did in fact have a misdemeanor warrant out of Tempe with no bond.

Officers went to the home and tried to contact Blozvich, but calls and annoucements were unanswerd.

The woman gave police permission to enter the house and they immediately detained Blozvich's girlfriend upon entering.

Police say the girlfriend said Blozvich was upstairs asleep.

After making more announcements and deploying a distraction device, the suspect still didn't come out.

Another distraction device was deployed when SWAT arrived and the suspect finally came out of the home and was taken into custody around 5:45 a.m.
