Burning off the holiday pounds

New research shows spending more time at the gym may not burn off those extra holiday pounds.

Researchers followed nearly 150 adults for the six weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year's and results showed that despite exercising, on average, each person gained about a pound and a half.

The study, found in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, says there really is no substitute for moderation.
