Bucks Co. School Bus Driver Arrested

Posted: Updated:
UPPER SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. -

A Bucks County school bus driver is under arrest charged with sexually assaulting children.

Police say 60-year-old Fred Brimmer, a school bus driver with the Centennial School District, assaulted an eight-year-old boy in October.

They say he also behaved inappropriately with another child, who he knew through Boy Scouts.

In a statement, Doctor Joyce Mundy, Centennial School District Superintendent said:

"Prior to his employment in the district, Mr. Brimmer went through the required background checks for criminal record and child abuse history clearances."

At the time of his hire, those background checks gave no indication of any previous criminal behavior.
