Round Rock police search for robbery suspects

Posted: Updated:

In Round Rock, police are asking for help tracking down two robbery suspects that held up two different people at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

Police say at about 2:30 Wednesday morning a man and woman were walking to their car in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart off south I-35 in Round Rock, when they were approached by two men. One of them had a gun in his waistband. The victims told police the two men took off on foot with just one dollar.

About half an hour later another call came in to the police department. Police say the woman had just arrived at her home on Dixie Lane, when the men approached her.

"She too, had no cash on her, so they demanded her ATM card and also demanded that she go to the ATM with them, she refused," Round Rock Police Commander Alain Babin said.

One of the suspects is described as a black man wearing an oversized blue jacket and white knit cap.

The other suspect, the one with the gun, is described as a white man wearing a grey hoodie. Investigators say both men look like they're between 18 and 20 years old, with thin builds and are between 5' 8" and 5' 10".

Anyone with any information about these two robbery suspects is asked to contact Round Rock police.
