The family of a local high school student that was tased by a Bastrop County Sheriff's deputy and is now in a coma has filed a lawsuit against the deputy, the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office and the Bastrop Independent School District.

According to the family's attorney, 17-year-old Noe Niño de Rivera fell into a coma on November 20th after he was tased by the deputy while on the school's campus, then fell back and hit his head.

The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office says the teen was trying to interfere in a fight and was acting aggressively and refused to listen to the deputy's commands.
