The recent rains have forced officials in Central Texas to close some low water crossings across the area.
City of Austin crews have been working on closing several roads around Austin.
According to the website ATXFloods.com, the section of Spicewood Springs Road from Loop 360 to Old Lampasas is now closed.
The roads will reopen when the water level is below six inches on the crossings.
The heavy rain we experienced at the end of October is still a fresh reminder of why it's never a good idea to drive through low water crossings.
Just last week a man lost his life when he was swept away by fast-moving water.
