West Philadelphia -

Around the holiday season many organizations feed the less fortunate, but one local church pulled off its events with limited resources with help from sponsors.

On Sunday, the Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Church transported and fed more than 300 people from shelters all over the city.

At 11a.m, church members gathered outside on 100 N. 63rd Street to greet guests from eight homeless shelters.

The Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Praise & Worship Team kicked off the event with soulful renditions of uplifting music to inspire those going through hardships. The event continued with a welcome address by Bishop Steven Walker.

Members of the church donated clothes and care packages for the participants.

The folks who attended this event were in for a treat. The meal was possible through local sponsors including Pathmark, Whole Foods, Fresh Grocer, Shop Rite and Herrs.
