Authorities are investigating the death of a woman who was found inside a car in Lake Pflugerville
A city employee saw the car floating in the lake and notified authorities. A DPS dive team was called to help remove the car. The state team preserved any evidence that may be needed.
The car, a 4-door Chevy sadan, was about 100 yards off the boat ramp. All the windows were rolled up and the vehicle was full of water.
Police say a woman's body was in the back seat.
Lieutenant Bill Anderson says nothing has been ruled out at this point in the investigation. Police don't know when the car went into the water but don't believe it had been there very long.
"The activity there at the Pflugerville Lake, someone would have noticed it fairly quickly being 100 yards out and it's very active out there especially with the weather we've had the last couple of days it was very nice," Anderson said.
Investigators are working to identify the woman and notify her family.
