WYNNEWOOD, Pa. -

Police in Lower Merion have arrested two suspects who they say punched a victim and ran. The suspects are Samuel Hayles, 19, and Marcus, 19, both from the 1300 block of Kimberly Drive in Philadelphia.

The incident happened in Wynnewood today at around 11:30 a.m.

According to police, a 63-year-old Wynnewood resident was out walking his dog in the area of Twin Oaks Drive & Rock Glen Drive when he observed a male run by him.

As he stood at the intersection, police say, he then observed a second male walking towards him. A moment later, police say, the suspect, believed to be Hayles, walked up to the victim and punched him in the mouth, knocking him to the ground.

The victim then started to yell for the police, at which time both suspects fled, describe investigators.

Responding police officers were able to stop two males matching the descriptions, and they were then positively identified as the subjects who assaulted the victim and were arrested.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
