School Investigating Instagram Page Defaming Girls

Posted: Updated:

There's a new Instagram account that has Franford High School students buzzing and parents fuming.

"Outrage is an understatement. I'm floored!" Yelled Tekeyah Cook.

The account has a foul mouthed name--claiming the 30-plus girls pictured from Frankford high and other area schools are promiscuous. Tekeya Cook says not her daughters.

Three of them, including her twelve year old twins,  are pictured on the page. But they're not her only concern.

"Who knows if one of these girl will kill herself for someone exploiting them. Who knows if they'll get teased in school and quit because  they get all this harassment."

The first post on the page was Sunday. We spoke to several Frankford High students pictured on the page.

One young lady explained, "Someone took my picture from Twitter and put me up there. I feel someone is hating. I  know for sure I'm not what they call me, so I  feel like it's got to be hate"

Frankford high administrators-- even police say they're aware of the page. School officials say it's under investigation. According to the Philadelphia School District's cyber bullying policy, the account holder could face suspension.

Cook's just worried the online account  could provoke  real life crime.

"How do I  know this grown man won't try and look my daughters up . I  think they are pedophile men that like younger girls."

Instagram hasn't returned our request for comment. The app's online terms state you're not allowed to bully or defame people.
