Two Shot In Southwest Philadelphia; Police Question Story

Posted: Updated:

Developing this morning, two people are in the hospital after a double shooting in Southwest Philadelphia overnight.

The two victims tell police that they were shot at 61st and Greenway. Police later found an Audi that had evidence of being hit by bullets. The Audi was parked at 74th street in a remote area between two open empty fields.

Police say they are raising doubt about the two people's story. Police didn't find any bullets, blood, or glass fragments in the location that the two say they were shot. Also, they wonder how and why the two victims got from 61st to 74th. In addition, according to the police, the girlfriend of one of the gunshot victims came and drove them to Delaware County Memorial Hospital, instead of the closer University of Pennsylvania hospital.

Right now, the Audi is being guarded by police, and this is still an active investigation. Police will talk to the two gunshot victims again and find out more about what really happened.
