Posted: Updated:

The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the capture of a wanted sex offender who escaped from a half-way house in Del Valle.

Kevin Patrick Stoeser, 40, who escaped from the Austin Transitional Center on October 24, has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list.

Stoeser has a violent criminal past. In 2001, he was convicted of numerous sexual crimes, including sodomy, production of child pornography and possession of child pornography. He received a 13-year sentence and was released in 2011, but after violating his sex offender treatment instructions, he returned to prison six months later.

Stoeser is 5'9" tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has tattoos on both forearms, upper right arm and right leg.

Anyone with any information on Stoeser's whereabouts is urged to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-8477.
