17-year-old student injured after jumping from moving school bus

A 17-year-old high school student was transported to the hospital by EMS after she jumped from the back door of a moving school bus in northwest Austin and sustained a head injury. ATCEMS sent out a tweet about the incident.

According to ATCEMS, the Westwood High School student was injured after she jumped from the bus at the intersection of Anderson Mill & Millwright Parkway. The bus was stopped at the intersection, but as it started moving the teen allegedly jumped out. 

She was transported to a hospital in Round Rock.
