South Shore Drill Team to perform in Macy`s Thanksgiving Day Parade

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Members of Chicago's South Shore Drill Team will march in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

You may have seen them at Chicago's Bud Billiken Parade or even at President Barack Obama's Inauguration earlier this year. But if you haven't yet, you're in for an awesome show this holiday season.

On the Monday before Thanksgiving, 64 boys and girls will head to New York. They will rehearse in Times Square, visit the Statue of Liberty and have Thanksgiving dinner in Harlem.

More than 50 million people tune into the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade every year.

The drill team joined Good Day Chicago Thursday morning, to share how excited they are about this trip and take some time for a throwback performance, set to Frank Sinatra's "My Kind of Town."
