DPS to provide replacement drivers license, ID cards to storm victims

The Department of Public Safety is making is easier for flood victims, who lost their drivers licenses or identification cards, to obtain a replacement.

The DPS deployed a mobile disaster unit to the Dove Springs Recreation Center, located at 5801 Ainez Drive to issue replacement drivers licenses or ID cards. The unit will be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Nov. 5-6.

Flood victims are asked to bring any available documentation showing Texas residency and identification to obtain a replacement. Individuals will receive a document that will include their photograph and can be used for 45 days. The official card will be mailed to the individual approximately 10 days later.
