Austin Humane Society Searching for Owners of Rescued Dog

Posted: Updated:

A picture posted on the Austin Fire Department Facebook page is being shared all over the Internet.  It shows a dog being rescued by Austin firefighters Matt Harvey and Michael Cooper.  Her name is Panda and for now, the Austin Humane Society is her home.  She is shy and a little scared, but staff says she is a very sweet dog.  Panda has a microchip, but that information is out of date, so now the AHS is trying to find her owners.  They plan to wait a week or two before putting her up for adoption.  The AHS is taking in a lot of animals displaced by the flooding.  Those who have lost a pet should contact AHS at (512) 646-7387
