The Texas book festival has taken over the state capitol grounds this weekend.
Each year the festival hosts more than 200 authors and attracts about 40,000 book lovers of all ages.
Throughout the weekend there are author panels, book signings, kids' activities and cooking demonstrations.
For the first time this year, festival goers and can sample BBQ in the Texas monthly BBQ court featuring several BBQ joints from the magazine's top 50 list.
The first Texas book festival took place in 1996 and was established by Laura Bush.
While Texas authors are given the chance to showcase their work, the festival has grown to become one of the largest literary events in the country
The Texas book festival has donated more than $2.5 million to Texas libraries over the past 17 years.
The event continues tomorrow.
It's free and open to the public.
