Anderson High School is turning 40. The Trojans are celebrating a very special anniversary and homecoming this weekend.
A parade featuring student organizations, alumni band groups, the belles and cheerleaders made its way through the streets around campus.
Anderson High School opened in 1973. Today, the school serves 2,200 students.
The homecoming celebrations continue Saturday with Anderson's very first principal speaking along with a slideshow of how the school has changed over the last four decades.
Anderson High School is inviting alumni, current and former staff and of course students to celebrate.
The homecoming game is Saturday at House Park. Kick off against Austin High is at 2 p.m.
