Revel Casino Hotel, Atlantic City's newest casino, has a new president at the helm, the AP reported.

Scott Kreeger has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. Previously the interim COO, he takes over for Jeffrey Hartmann, who had had served as interim CEO since March.

Revel opened to big fanfare in April 2012 with its 1,399 ocean-view rooms, high-class dining, and innovative architectural design. But it soon faced an uphill battle in a tough economy and declining revenues among almost all casinos in Atlantic City.

It has since undergone bankruptcy reorganization featuring a big push to attract gamblers and getaway seekers.

Revel on Thursday premiered a new multimedia, dance, and variety production called The Latin Quarter Show, presented at the Social, a club on the property. The show features a cast of Flamenco dancers, Gauchos, a crossbow act, ballroom dancers, quick-change artists, production show dancers, and a host comedian.

Revel says the revue "celebrates the Latin culture as staged through the eyes of dance and variety."

The Latin Quarter Show runs Thursdays through Sundays, October 10 through December 1, 2013. Tickets are $25.

Revel, located at the northernmost end of Atlantic City's famous boardwalk, features 2,400 slots, 130 table games, a high-limit slot lounge, a high-limit table game lounge, indoor and outdoor pools, elevated gardens, a huge spa, and more than a dozen restaurants and bars.
