While lawmakers continue to fight about Obamacare, many are talking about the Affordable Care Act here at home. Seton Medical Center in Hays County held their annual health fair, Saturday. While the crowds showed up for free and low-cost health screenings, Obamacare was on the minds of many.
"I am pretty much against it," said Calvin Baker of Killeen, but his wife Norma says she likes what the Affordable Care Act, "It is good for people to have health insurance. I think it just needs to be made a little bit more affordable for people.
While Calvin disagrees with the politics behind Obamacare, he admits he likes parts of it.
"I like having my kids covered until the age of 26. In today's economy you have to have provisions for them. I like the idea of having affordable healthcare for everybody because we paying billions of dollars out of pocket to cover those who don't have healthcare," said Baker.
