Man’s death ruled homicide, police investigate

Austin police are investigating the death of man who was found outside a downtown night club and died a few days later.

According to Police, on Sept. 20, 42-year-old Brian Pentecost was found unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of a club located in the 100 block of 5th Street. He was transported to UMC Brackenridge in critical condition.

Authorities say Pentecost died on Sept. 29. His death has been ruled a homicide by the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office.
