Adult children living with their parents

Adult children living with their parents

Posted: Updated:

Rachel Cruze talked with Good Day Atlanta's Gurvir Dhindsa about Boomerang Kids. Those are adult children that are living at home with their parents. She offers tips to those parents on how to motivate their children to move out on their own.

TIPS:

- Parents should set clear expectations, in writing.
- Help your kids create a plan for job search.
- Teach them to live on a budget and manage money so they can move out.
- Make it uncomfortable if they're there too long.
- It's okay to help them, but don't enable them.
