PHILADELPHIA -

He was a huge voice, and champion for Philadelphia communities, and on Saturday hundreds gathered to remember radio host and activist E. Steven Collins.

A memorial service was held at the Sharon Baptist Church in Wynnefield Heights.

Mayor Michael Nutter and state Sen. Anthony Williams were just some of the dignitaries who came out to remember Collins.

WDAS radio host Patty Jackson spoke at the service and said she just can't believe he's gone.

"E.," as he was known by all, suddenly passed away of a heart attack last week. He was only 58 years old.
