DWI suspect turns down plead deal

Posted: Updated:

A jury will soon be seated in the trial of the woman accused of driving drunk and killing a local pastor and his wife.

Friday, 42-year old Terri Elmore chose not accept a plea deal in the 2011 deaths of Jackson and Barbara Boyett.

Elmore is charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and faces up to 20 years in prison.

Boyett and his wife were traveling back from their ranch in Junction when police say Elmore hit them head on.

Jackson and Barbara Boyett founded Dayspring Fellowship Church in 1978.

Elmore faces up to 20 years in prison if found guilty.
