Austin police say it appears the "I'm Sorry" robber has struck again.
Police say the man robbed at least five convenience stores in early July in northwest Austin. He is also believed to be behind another robbery Thursday night at a 7-11 on Braker Lane.
Police released surveillance footage of the suspect.
They say just like at the previous robberies, he came into the store, showed the clerk a weapon, and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is also recognized by his apologetic nature.
"He's been dubbed the 'I'm Sorry' robber, because he's been somewhat apologetic to the clerks, apologizing in some roundabout way for having to rob them, and assuring them they'll be okay," said Seargent Blake Johnson with the Austin Police Department.
Police say he may be apologetic, but he's still armed, and considered a public threat.
He is described as a white man, 5'10" and weighing 140 to 160 pounds. He appears to be in his early 20's.
