SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Members of the Democratic National Committee will be spending the next two days holed up in a Scottsdale resort for their annual summer meeting.

The highlight of the DNC meeting at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is an address by chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida on Friday.

The meeting kicks off Thursday with a business meeting of state Democratic chairs, followed by caucus meetings.

President Barack Obama formally heads the party but is not scheduled to attend.
