Over 5,000 marijuana plants confiscated in Colorado CO

Sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement personnel removed over 5,000 marijuana plants from a field in Colorado County just west of the Fayette County line.
Colorado County Sheriff R.H. Wied and Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek received a tip about a suspected marijuana field near Cummins Creek northwest of Lone Oak. On Monday deputies discovered 3 plots of marijuana plants in a heavily wooded, isolated area.
On Tuesday sheriff's deputies returned to the area with units from the Department of Public Safety and discovered 8 more marijuana plots that were approximately three to five acres.
Officers eventually removed 5,771 plants that were estimated to have a value of $1,000,000.
