It seems as though one senior citizen in Austin can't catch a break. We've told you about Bertha Haywood, the woman who lost her rental home after a hit-and-run driver plowed through it last month. And we told you, a FOX 7 viewer offered Haywood a camper to stay in until she could get on her feet.
Well now Haywood's good luck is running out and so is time for her to find a place to live. She says her landlord told her she has two weeks to get the camper off the property. Haywood says she's been unable to find anywhere to put the camper up and has nowhere to go.
"She said it's some kind of code or something," said Haywood, "She acts like I'm the one that hit the house."
We were unable to reach Haywood's landlord about this story. At last check no arrests have been made. If you have any information about the hit and run driver, contact Austin Police.
