Posted: Updated:

A group that started here in Austin has gone national with their message concerning police brutality. Peaceful Streets Project held their 2nd annual police accountability summit on Saturday with hundreds attending..

Some of their main concerns this year are police brutality and officer-involved shootings where pets are injured or killed.

The organization's founder Antonio Buehler alleges that he was abused by police officers in Austin. Almost two years later there are now 12 chapters across the country.

This year's keynote speaker was Bobby Seale, the co-founder of the Black Panther party.    Seale told us more citizens need to get involved in monitoring police activities.
