Hundreds of Austinites screamed for ice cream at the 7th annual Ice Cream Festival at Fiesta Gardens Saturday. Festival goers enjoyed just about every ice cream flavor you can think of. For the adults there was even alcohol-infused ice cream. One youngster told FOX 7 he loved his ice cream even if he didn't know what flavor it was. And the best part-- all the ice cream was free.
"This is my 5th year out here and I think we are already around four to five-thousand ice creams we have handed out thanks to Blue Bell for that," said Anthony Cortez. The festival raised money for several local charities including the Austin Children's Shelter and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas.
