Austin police believe a man they have in custody, charged with two different sexual assaults, may have more victims out there.
Joseph Cerna, 36, is being held in the Travis County Jail on a $200,000 bond. He is suspected in two sex assaults, one happening in December 2012 and another in July 2013.
Police say the first victim waited to report the incident until about a week after the July sexual assault.
Both women accepted rides from Cerna and investigators believe the victims did not know him.
"For the most part, victims tend to blame themselves for what happened, especially if they voluntarily get in the vehicle with someone or go somewhere with someone they hardly know. There's a lot of different factors, reasons why they don't make a report," Christina Angeles with APD said.
If you recognize Joseph Cerna or believe you may have been a victim of his, please call Austin police.
