AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - The Texas Longhorns reported to training camp Sunday with coach Mack Brown confident he has his best team since his 2009 national title contender.

The Longhorns have dropped dramatically on the national stage since then, with a 22-16 record. But the luxury of 19 returning starters and new confidence in junior quarterback David Ash, Brown says he feels good about this year's team.

Brown says a come-from-behind win over Oregon State in the Alamo Bowl boosted Ash's confidence. He also says his offensive line will be his best in years.

But Brown also closed an almost hour-long news conference saying that "now we've got to shut up and do it."

Brown enters his 16th season at Texas having won just two Big 12 titles.
