PHILADELPHIA -

Police are investigating the death of Ngoc Tran Vo who fell early Friday morning from the 12th story of a building at Penn's Landing.

The 30-year-old woman, reported to be a gentlemen's club dancer , fell eight stories to a balcony below around 4:30 a.m. at the Dockside Apartments, located on the 700 block of South Columbus Boulevard.

At this point, investigators are not sure what caused the Northeast Philadelphia woman's fall, but they do say the woman dropped her phone before she fell.

A statement was released Friday afternoon by Margie McLean, condominium manager for The Residences at Dockside, which stated:

"This morning at about 4:30 am a tragedy occurred at The Residences at Dockside, when a visitor to our property fell to her death from a private balcony on the 12th floor.  The police are investigating the incident.  We have no further information at this time.  Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim.  The police will provide additional information as details emerge."

Police towed a Mercedes E500 from the luxury waterfront condos where Vo fell to her death.

Police also visited the local gentleman's club as part of their investigation, and an autopsy is being conducted.

FOX 29's Dave Schratwieser will have more details on the investigation in live reports on the FOX 29 News at 5 and 6.
