Chicago's Most Wanted: McKinley Park bank robbers

Posted: Updated:

There is one person for sure who could solve this case, but that person is not talking, so the FBI is looking for the public's help.

The robbery happened on May 8, 2013 at the Fifth Third Bank at 1950 West 33rd Street in Chicago. A man and a woman walked into the bank for what, at first, seemed to be a normal bank transaction. They approached the teller and asked about cashing a check drawn on an account at another bank. Then they turned and acted as though they were going to leave the bank. But as the couple reached the vestibule they turned around and went back to the teller. They handed over a note and announced the robbery. They indicated they had a gun, but never showed one. After getting the cash, they left the bank.

The bank cameras captured some pretty good pictures of the robbers and the feds have already caught one of them.

The man seen in the pictures was identified as Frank Plada. He was located and arrested in Colorado where he lives. On May 14, 2013 he was charged with the robbery.

But he has refused to identify his accomplice.

FBI agents have developed a number of leads but have been unable to identify or locate the woman.

Agents hope a Fox 32 News viewer or web user might recognize her from the photos and tell police who she is.

Here is the FBI's description of the bank robber they are looking for:

--white female

--20-30 years old

--170-200 pounds

--butterfly tattoo on her left hand.

She is considered armed and dangerous. If you see her, or know who she is, you are asked to call police or the FBI.
