You may remember the uproar about three months ago, when a Chandler wedding center closed suddenly, leaving dozens of brides in a bind.
We've just learned the Inspirador wedding center has been sold.
There is now a new owner of Inspirador, and word is they will do special events at the 12,000 square foot property.
There is still no resolution for those 60 very unhappy brides. The last time we spoke to Theresa Tanner she was in shambles.
"That's all I have is my prayer and my faith, God's going to make a way for us I know he will," she said back on April 23.
Back then Tanner, along with dozens of other brides, had just discovered that Inspirador Wedding Center in downtown Chandler had abruptly closed and was not returning tens of thousands of dollars in deposits.
"It's $14,000 down the drain."
Flash forward to today. Mrs. Theresa Tanner White is beaming again after a beautiful wedding for 200 guests was put together in less than a month with donated photography, flowers, cake, and a wedding planner.
Even with the donations, another $10,000 was spent on a last minute wedding venue.
"About $25,000 for one wedding that we never intended to pay for twice. With such a short period of time there was nothing we could have done but have the wedding, so we did."
Last month, the bank sold Inspirador to a local company called Nightwalker LLC for $880,000 cash.
The brides have banded together on Facebook under the group called 60 Brides of Inspirador.
Tanner-White says Dilia Woods, the owner of Inspirador, owes them their money back or at least an explanation.
"Everyone the 60 brides who matter, we're still waiting for an answer or even a phone call or a ‘this is what happened' and we have not gotten any of that."
The owner of Inspirador has blamed the bank for her troubles saying they foreclosed on her instead of working with her.
The brides have discussed bringing legal action, but many of them are still planning a wedding.
The bride we spoke to, Theresa Tanner White, says she will not forgive and forget this.
