Austin police have released the identity of the victim found dead in a southwest Austin home Thursday afternoon.

Police say after receiving a welfare call in the 8800 block of Dittmar Oaks Dr., they found the body of 51-year-old Ernestine Williams inside the home. They say there were obvious sign of trauma to Williams' body.

She was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate. They say there is no suspect information at this time.
