Ga. business owner sentenced on child porn charges

ATLANTA (AP) - Federal officials say a business owner has been sentenced to eight years and one month in prison on child pornography charges.

U.S. Attorney's officials say 47-year-old Joseph Schloeder, co-owner of Atlanta business Brushstrokes, shared more than 100 child pornography photos with others over a peer-to-peer file sharing network.

An investigation in November 2012 revealed that Schloeder, of Brookhaven, had stored several thousand images and videos of child pornography on his home computer. Authorities say some of the depictions showed children being raped by adults and engaged in sex acts with animals.

Schloeder is ordered to serve a lifetime of supervised release after his prison sentence. He's also ordered to pay a $75,000 fine.
