CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The Chicago Blackhawks have lost another championship teammate.

Ray Emery, the team's backup goaltender, is gone. Emery was a free agent.

He signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers for a reported $1.6 million.

Emery's agent said a few days ago he was meeting with Hawks' general manager but the sides could not come to an agreement.

Emery, who played for the Flyers in 2009-10, went 17-1 with a 1.94 goals-against average last season. He spent two years in Chicago and will now compete for the starting job with Steve Mason.
