The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspect wanted for burglarizing a building in the 300 Block of W. 11th Street on June 14.

The suspect is described by APD as a white male in his early 20's, driving a newer model of a black Audi Q5.

According to APD, the suspect entered the building from the alleyway by breaking a window. In addition, the suspect allegedly destroyed a doorbell/intercom on the exterior wall of the alley.

APD said once the suspect was inside the building, he took a tool from a closet and used it to break a window leading into the library. He then removed a wall hanging and placed it outside in the alley, but left it behind. Nothing else is known to have been taken.

This is an open investigation and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the APD Burglary Unit at 512-974-6941.
