APD searching for West Campus sex assault suspects

The Austin Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two men they say sexually assaulted a woman in West Campus early Monday morning.

According to investigators, the woman was walking alone in the 900 block of West 26th Street around 2:00 AM. Police say two men approached her from behind and forced her to the ground. They then blindfolded her, put her inside a vehicle, and sexually assaulted her.

After the attack the woman was taken to an unknown location. She was eventually released at 6:00 AM in the 2200 block of Stephen F Austin Boulevard.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sex Crimes Unit at 512-974-5095 or call Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text to "Tip 103" + your message to C R I M E S. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest or charges being filed.
