Posted: Updated:

Austin Police are searching for a man accused of luring a man to a downtown parking garage, assaulting and robbing him.

On June 15 around 2:30 a.m. police say the victim was hailing a cab on West 6th Street when a black man in his 20's with short hair offered him a ride. The suspect lured the victim to the St. David's Parking Garage located in the 300 block of 8th Street, where he assaulted the victim and stole his wallet.

The suspect was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, black pants and white and black tennis shoes.

Police believe the suspect may reside in Round Rock. They say he was seen with another black male before walking to the garage with the victim. Police are also searching for that individual. They say he is in his 20s, has shoulder-length dreadlocks and was wearing a red baseball cap backwards the night of the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Robbery Tip Line at 512-974-5092 or Crimestoppers at 512-472-8477.
