Brother of hit-and-run victim pleads for driver to come forward

A man pleads for help as his brother remains in a local hospital following a serious accident this weekend.

Jay Brown, of Austin, says someone hit his brother who was riding motorcycle and then left the scene.

Bart Brown continues to recover at UMC Brackenridge following the accident.

His family supplied this photo and tells FOX 7 he received serious injuries to his leg and will require multiple surgeries.

Jay Brown says Bart was riding his Harley Davidson home westbound on Highway 290, when a pickup pulled out in front of him to turn left onto Circle Drive.

Texas DPS cannot confirm exactly what caused Brown to crash, but they did tell us someone witnessed the crash, and did not stick around to report what they saw to troopers.

"Without the information of the people that were here first it leaves us a little bit clueless," said Brown.

Brown tells FOX 7 his brother remembers seeing a red 2007 or 2009 Dodge pickup.

He says he now wants to bring the person responsible to justice.

"Whatever the reason is it's not good enough to leave another human being lying in the middle of the road. He could've been ran over after that," said Brown.
