Posted: Updated:

A woman was taken to the hospital after a bee attack in North Austin.

It happened around 3:30 this afternoon in the 2100 block of Singletree Ave. near MoPac and Parmer.

Austin fire officials say the woman, her dog and later an Austin police officer were attacked by bees from a hive near the woman's home.

The woman apparently tried to get inside her home when some bees followed her in.

Authorities say she wasn't seriously hurt but was transported to North Austin hospital.

The dog was taken to an emergency vet hospital.
