Texas State Alum Paul Goldschmidt, who now plays for the Arizona Diamondbacks, hit his 16th home run Monday night in a game against the Texas Rangers.
"Man, I couldn't be any more proud of a young man, a more deserving, more humble professional athlete than Paul Goldschmidt. He was so much fun to work with," Ty Harrington, Goldschmidt's coach at Texas State said. "The dimension for him that was different, that separated him from everybody else is that he's the most organized, diligent worker and persistent worker that I've ever had in my career."
The third-year first baseman is also hitting over .300 with 61 RBIs and we are not even to the All-Star break.
