Posted: Updated:

A former teacher in central Pennsylvania is charged with allowing a student to perform body piercings in class.

The teacher at Northern York County High School resigned after the incident last April.

According to police, she allowed a student to pierce her ear and then another student's stomach. This was all done without parental consent.

Now the teacher's charged with endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.

Her lawyer says she just had a "lapse of judgment."
