Only On Fox: Gun Toting Bandit Caught On Tape in Daring Robbery

NORTH PHILADELPHIA -

It's one of the busiest intersections in the city. Lots of traffic and police activity, police cameras are everywhere. But that didn't stopped this armed robber from calmly walking into a Dunkin Donuts on camera Monday afternoon and sticking the place up.

"A little scared," one employee told Fox 29. "It could happen any time."

"I was worried he was going to come back again this morning," manager Kim Sim said.

Fox 29 obtained surveillance video from the 4 p.m. robbery. Even with customers and a delivery man in the store, the suspect can be seen slowly walking in. He bought himself a donut and then hung out for a few minutes. When customers left, it was back up to the counter, where he ordered a second donut and whispered "give me all the money". He pulled out a gun and the cashier calmly complied.

"He was very calm. Thank God yeah," an employee said, describing her co-worker's demeanor. "If the employee, he not calm. He do something a little bit crazy, maybe he shoot everybody in the store," Sim told Fox 29.

The suspect waited patiently while the cashier emptied the register and handed over a stack of cash. He stuffed it into the bag with his two donuts and made his escape. Leaving behind a store full of rattled employees.

"I hope they will catch that person so he's not going to go around and do that again," Sim added.

Police want you to take a good look at this guy. Store employees want the guy caught right away, before he can pull off another robbery.

"Are you worried about the guy coming back," an employee was asked.

"Yeah," she said. "Always have that chance. The person coming back."

Police are still trying to identify the suspect. If you recognized him you can call East Detectives. Police cameras at the intersection were working. Detectives are still trying to determine if there is any video of the suspect as he made his escape down Germantown Avenue.
