Man Charged With Raping 15-Year-Old Relative, Police Say

Posted: Updated:

Delaware State Police say they have arrested a man from Camden-Wyoming in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old female.

The investigation into the incidents began on April 30 of this year after the victim, who is now 21, came forward and spoke about her past relationship with her uncle, police said.

According to detectives, Jason S. Anker would pick her and her two siblings up from their house in New Castle County and care for them on the weekends starting in October 2008.

During that period, Anker began to commit lewd acts with the then 15-year-old girl. Police said these acts led to an intimate relationship that lasted until she was 17.

A search warrant was executed at Anker's house Monday, and there authorities said they found many computers as well as a plethora of teen pornography.

Anker was not home at that time but was later taken into custody on 1st and fourth-degree rape charges. He was released on a $265,000 secured bond but is not allowed to have contact with any children under the age of 18.
