People in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community say they feel more accepted by society than ever before- but they still face discrimination.
This information comes from the first-ever survey of its kind done by the Pew Research Center.
The report was released Friday, and it suggests big strides in the struggles of those who identify as LGBT.
Nearly 1200 people took part in the survey.
As a whole, they say that they feel more included in society.
But, 60% say they've been the target of slurs or jokes, and 40% say they've been rejected by friends and family over their sexual orientation.
Nike is making strides to support gay pride.
The company has introduced a new line of rainbow-colored sneakers, costing around $115 dollars.
Profits from the line will go to the Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual and Transgender Sports Coalition.
There are also shoes, t-shirts, sandals, and an iPhone 5 case in the line.
