Posted: Updated:

The beach, the boardwalk, and the food.   It is all part of the experience down the shore.
But, which boardwalk has the best food?

The dailymeal.com rated the best boardwalk food in the country and not surprisingly several local boardwalks made the cut.

Coming in at #7:  Seaside Heights.   The site says the the mainstays on the Seaside boardwalk is cheese and grease.

#3 on the list of best boardwalk food is Ocean City, New Jersey.  From Manco and Manco to Johnson's Popcorn,  Ocean City's boardwalk has plenty to offer.

# 2 goes to Atlantic City.  The oldest and longest of all the boardwalks in the U.S. has been dubbed the "salt water taffy capital of the world."

#1 on the list is New York's Coney Island. From fried clams at Ruby's to cheap tacos at Plaza Mexico the dailymeal.com says Coney Island has something for everyone.
